Vivian Shaw
Vivian LaVerne Crow Shaw 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Liza's Place. Vivian was born February 2, 1936 in Moundsville, WV, the daughter of the late Henry Montgomery Crow and Clarice Simmons Crow. Following high school, she worked in the office at Fostoria Glass and later as Office Manager at Northwood Health Systems, Moundsville location, retiring in 2000. In addition to her family, she had a kind and loving soul, with a calm and gentle way about her. Her passions in life were her family, her church, and her music. She was a charter member and regular in attendance in the BYKOTA Sunday School Class at the Moundsville First Christian Church. She especially loved her music also a member of the Senior Choir, Moundsville Opus Music Club and the A'Capella Project , and A'Capella Vocal Group from the First Christian Church. She was Deaconess Emeritus. Vivian was a volunteer at Reynolds Memorial Hospital for 14 years with over 3000 service hours. Preceded in death by four brothers, Keith, Hubert, Norman and Gerald Crow and one sister, Nancy Minear. Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Earl Shaw Jr. two daughters, Kyle (John) Gilbert of Moundsville, Kim (Eric) Heller of Shadyside, Ohio and two step-sons whom she saw as her own, Michael (Tonya) Shaw, Moncks Corner, SC and Douglas Shaw (Joyce) of Pennsylvania.; grandchildren, Lanette Gilbert, Anna Heller, Reid and Elizabeth Shaw and Dylan (Patience) Shaw, great-grand children, Jackie Rodgers, and Lucy Rodgers and Amelia and Oliver Shaw, sisters-in-law, Joyce (Charles) Anderson and Susan Shaw of Moundsville and Loretta Crow of Trenton New Jersey and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday August 22, 2020 The family request that mask be worn and social distancing guidelines be followed as they receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Moundsville First Christian Church on Third & Grant Ave. Moundsville, WV with Pastor Wesley Howsare officiating.
