John Lightner

John Dennis Lightner Sr. "Honest Abe" 85, of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Tuesday August 25, 2020. John was born March 4, 1935 in Marshall County son of the late George and Virginia Hall Lightner. He was a US Navy Veteran. Retired from Iron Workers Local#549 Wheeling. John had many self-employed businesses over the years and was know for his love of woodworking. Preceded in death by his wife, Millie Mae "Susie: Riggs Lightner. sister Wanda Moren, granddaughter, P.J. Lightner, grandsons, Chaz Lightner, and Andrew Bungard Sr. and brothers, Wayne and Kenneth Lightner. Survived by his children, Toni (Brent) Cunningham, Johnny (Cathy) Lightner, Patty (John) Bungard, George (Bessie) Lightner, Debra Lightner, Charity (Shawn) Carroll, grandchildren, Wayne Lightner, Chad Lightner, John Bungard Jr. Lena Auten, Brandy Hudson, Kilie Bungard, Andrew Bungard Jr. Luke Cunningham, Cody Cunningham, Savannah Lightner, Rusty Lightner Jr., Camo Lightner, Jessy Harness, Ashley Wallace, Carli Lightner, Braden Carroll, great-grandchildren, Klypsan, Allie, Tyler, Barrett, Bronson, Melaney, Kayden, Allie, Lily, Emily, Haley, Andrea, Colton, Avery, Austin, Hank, Hunter, Shelbi, Destinee, Landan, Tyler P., Kylie, Cheyenne, great-great grandchildren, Kasyn, Brilynn, Briella, Logan, Wyatt, Winston; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Friday August 28, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St. Moundsville, W.V. The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Interment will follow to the Bungard family cemetery.
