Bill Aston





 Robert William “Bill” Aston 73, of Moundsville, WV passed away Tuesday August 17, 2021 of kidney failure. He was born March 7, 1948 in Glen Dale, WV. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from July 66 until July 70. He was a Lance Corporal having served in Vietnam, he receive the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Compaign Metal, Combat Action Ribbon, H.V.N. and the Cross of Gallantry and the Marksman Rifle Badge. Throughout his life he was a hard worker. He worked at the Moundsville Penitentiary, Truck Driver, Coal Miner, Contractor Supply Co., he owned and operated Aston’s Concrete Construction and retired from local 132 as a Crane Operator. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He had a real talent for building things he also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing karaoke. He enjoyed flying his ultralight airplane in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Louise Church Aston and his father, William Robert Austin. Survived by one brother, daughter Crystal Lynn Aston and son Robert Evan Aston. Bill lived his life to the fullest. He was known by many and will be missed dearly. Family will receive friends Friday, August 20, 2021 from noon until time of services at 1: 30 PM officiating with Rev. Jon Hudall at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St., Moundsville. Requiring that MASKS be worn out of the respect of others.
