Charlene "Tootie" Young

Charlene Sue “Tootie” Whitelatch Young 73, of Moundsville, WV passed away Friday June 9, 2023, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born May 27, 1950, in Glen Dale, WV; daughter of the late Charles Vance & Edna Newell Whitelatch. Retired from Northwood Health Systems and in her earlier years was employed at the former Ames Department Store. She was a graduate of 1968 the last graduating class of MJHS. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sandy Rulong. Survived by her husband, Sam Young, sons, Roger Jr. (Deanna) Garrison of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; David (Carrie) Garrison of Moundsville, WV; five grandchildren, Donald Lee “Scooter”, Amanda, Michael, Lexis, Gabe; and six great-grandchildren great-grandchildren and some aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family will recieve friends Monday June 12, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd St, Moundsville, WV. A graveside service will be held Tuesday June 13. 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in Green Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Larry Richards officiating.
