Darlene Ann McCarthy Leech 65, of Wheeling, W.Va.; passed away Thursday October 5, 2023, at Stonerise Health Care, Moundsville, WV. She was born December 14, 1957 in Wheeling, WV daughter of the late August Frederick McCarthy Sr. & Betty Frazier McCarthy. She retired from Dallas Truck Stop Restaurant where she was a devoted waitress for many years. Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, August McCarthy Jr. and Alvin Mink. Survived by one daughter, Sabrina Scott of Wheeling, WV; two sons, Clarence (Pamela) Scott of Alpena, Michigan; Marcus McCarthy; six sisters, Charlene Armstrong of St. Clairsville, Ohio; Eva Williamson of Arizona; Linda (Fritz) Leafy of Benwood, WV; Kathy Neff of Cambridge, Ohio; Barbara (john) Barton of Martins Ferry, Ohio; Anna Russell of Tiltonsville, Ohio; Pete (Shirley) McCarthy of Bridgeport, Ohio; Mike (Sharon) McCarthy of Wheeling, WV; Randy (Carrie) McCarthy of Tenn.; two grandchildren, Tabitha Heckathorne and William Taylor and one great grandson, Dakota.
