Donald Ray Baker

Donald Ray Baker, 86, of Baker’s Acres on Greenfield Ridge, Cameron, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 3, 1938, on Pleasant Ridge in Cameron, a son of the late Herman E. and Virginia Beryl (Roupe) Baker.

He was a 1956 graduate of Cameron High School, served 4 years in the US Navy, and retired from the IBEW as an Electrical Lineman. He was a life member of both the National Rifle Association and the Cameron American Legion Post 18. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Talli Chaffin, and sisters Carol Jean Hitt and Beth Berngen.  Survivors include his loving companion, Patty Moore, daughter Christy (Baker) Brian  DeBolt, grandson Jesse Stoneking, granddaughter Jenna  (Stoneking)  Lawrence Henry, and his loving great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held in Cameron at Anderson Funeral Home, 39 Maple Ave., Friday, March 21, 2025, from 2 – 4 p.m. with Pastor Doug Richardson officiating with services immediately following.  The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors. Interment at the convenience of the family.
