He also earned many awards and certifications for his service and dedication to the Moundsville water system. Jim was at the helm as Superintendent and spearheaded the construction of a new state-of-the-art water treatment facility, which is still in use today. In that role as Superintendent, he oversaw the operations of the new plant until his retirement in 2010. Unable to stay away from his lifelong calling, Jim returned to work at the plant as a Class III Operator in 2014, then when the Superintendent position opened up in January of 2016, he once again took the helm of the department, a position he held until 2020, when he returned to a plant Operator position.
