Janis Ree Malson

Janis Ree (Rosenmerkel) Malson, 90, of Moundsville, WV passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. Janis Ree was born in Moundsville, WV on February 8, 1931 to Frank “Hank” and Marie (Baker) Rosenmerkel. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 71 years, Robert Lee Malson, who passed away 5 days earlier; and a son, Kerry Lee Malson. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Lynn (Eugene) Alderman; two granddaughters, Stephanie Lynn Malson-Hewitt, and Ashley Rew (Jared) Karl; and a great-granddaughter, Tessa Leigh Hewitt. Janis Ree was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved quilting, crafting, collecting antiques, and especially loved spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice.
