Jim Kupfer


  James "Jim" Robert Kupfer 82, of Cameron, WV passed away Thursday October 10, 2024 at home with a long battle of Cancer surrounded by his wife and sons. Jim was born May 17, 1942, in Glen Dale, W.V.  the son of the late P.H. and Nora Hartley Kupfer. Jim was an incredibly resilient man who had a loving attitude for his family and community.  He was known for his many qualities and talents, in Jim's earlier days he was an Account Manager for Firest one and also a Drag Car Racer as many know, he was once a model for Richmond Brother's Clothing. He has left his mark across the Ohio Valley with many houses, barns and buildings that he constructed. Above all, giving was in Jim's heart to family & friends, he took pride in growing a garden and giving his crop to anyone who would ask, his greatest adventure and talent was later found as the Pit Master & Cole Slaw shredder at the Original " Old Town BBQ", the restaurant he and his wife Connie owned and operated.    Jim was a Veteran for the United States Army.  He was a member of the Cameron Moose Lodge #758 and The Cameron American Legion Post #18. Jim Kupfer will be remembered as many things by many people but by family and his friends he will be remembered as a Hero.  Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Esther "Sib" Booth, two brothers, Paul and Jerry Kupfer. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Connie Warrick Kupfer, two sons, James Robert Jr.  (Christy) Kupfer of Shinnston, W.V. and Brandon (Megan) Kupfer of Oak Ridge, Tenn; one sister, Sharon Miller of Dunnellon, Fla.; five brothers, Ronald Kupfer, John Kupfer his companion Jackie, Roger (Sarah) Kupfer all of Cameron, W.V. Richard (June) Kupfer of Moundsville, W.V. and Phillip Kupfer of Viola, W.V. four grandchildren, Jacy Kupfer of Kent, Ohio, Beau Kupfer, Jaxon Kupfer and Colton Hovermale and  many nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog Cubby. Family and friends will be received Monday October 14, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 39 Maple Ave. Cameron, WV where services will be held Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Doug Richardson officiating.  The Moundsville Veteran will conduct military honors immediately following  at the interment in Kupfer Cemetery.
