Joseph Hitchcock

Joseph William Hitchcock 77, of Benwood W.V. passed away September 23, 2024. He was born November 5, 1947 in Wheeling, W.V. son of the late James and Myrtle Zimmerman Hitchcock. Joe was a  loving  father, brother, uncle and great uncle and grandfather and great-grandfather. A United States Army Veteran  and served in Vietnam War. Retired from the Oil Fields of Texas and Oklahoma. Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Gertrude Hupp and one daughter, Jodi Sole. Survived by two sons, Jeff Hitchcock (Debbie) of Ohio and Greg Hitchcock (Marlene) of Wheeling, W.V.  one sister Norma (Ron) Williams of Wheeling, W.V.  caregiver,  Cheryl Holmes and Kayla,  Big D; grandchildren, Emily Miller Goode (Tyler), Johnny Miller, Allen Hitchcock, Chris Hitchcock, Kristen Griswold (Robert), and many great grandchildren, Jax and Lizzie Goode, and Marshall and Grace Miller and his beloved dog, Elly.  There will be no visitation or services at Joe's request.
