Millie Williams Rich
Mildred (“Millie”) Ann Rich
Mildred (“Millie”) Ann Rich passed away on Tuesday, September 24th at the age of 73. Millie was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and will always be remembered for her kindness, her love of family and her love of all things Christmas. Millie was born at Ohio Valley General Hospital on April 19, 1951, to the late Louie and Betty Williams. She grew up alongside her older sister and brothers, Mary, Fred and Eddie, in Cameron. Millie spent her career as a Registered Nurse primarily working in nursing homes in West Virginia. Millie dearly loved her family and was happiest when celebrating on Christmas Eve with numerous friends and relatives at her former home in Moundsville. Millie was a great lover of karaoke, the Steelers and her cats. Millie was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her daughter Amanda and grandson Ben. She was a loving aunt to her niece and nephews, Dolly, Jack and Louie, and her great-nephews and great-niece, Jon, Ruby and Kenneth. Millie was predeceased by her daughter Amanda Rich, her parents, her sister Mary Williams Fish and her brother Eddie Williams. Survivors include her grandson Ben Erasmus (who gave her great joy in the final chapter of her life), her brother Fred Williams (Kara), her niece Dolly Dalton, her nephews Jack and Louie Williams, a great-niece (Ruby), two great-nephews (Kenneth and Jon) and many beloved aunts, uncle, cousins and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to her former husband, Steve Rich, who kept in close touch with Millie in her final years and visited Millie often when she was confined to a nursing home.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 28th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 1109 2nd Street, Moundsville. Millie was a dear friend and co-worker for many years. We had so much fun and we were mischievous at times. I loved visiting her home and seeing all her decorations, esp at Christmas. She really had a knack for it. She had recorded some beautiful songs and sent me a copy. I literally wore it out! She had the voice of an angel. Millie, RIP my dear friend.
