Peggy Howery

Peggy Joyce Howery 83 of St. Mary’s, WV formerly of Cameron, WV passed away Sunday February 11. 2024.  She was born January 22nd, 1941, in Princeton WV; Peggy was the daughter of the late Ruth Gene Moore & James Miller Prentice of Princeton WV and granddaughter of the late Laurie Kelly and Columbus Moore.   Preceded also by her husbands, James Edward Yoho Jr.  and Robert Gene Howery, sister, Margaret Treolo (husband Jerry) and brother,  Tommy Prentice and In-laws Marjorie Elaine Yoho and James Edward Yoho Sr.   Surviving are one sister, Susie Elmore ( Paul-deceased) of Annandale VA3 Children Kathy Hall (Jeff) of Bridgewater NJ; Kent Yoho (Linda) of Sistersville WV; Kelly Hicks (husband Steve) of Midlothian VA; 9 grandchildren, Nichole Surface (Scott) of Sistersville WV; Cameron Brown  (Andrew) of Huntington WV; Garrett Hicks (Haily) of Powhatan VA; Kiersten Griffith (Kyle) of Bridgewater NJ; Christopher Hall (Lauren) of Bridgewater NJ; Madison Cundiff (John) of Midlothian VA; Lauren Hall of Bridgewater NJ' Sydney Martin (Husband Nick) of Huntington WV; Darian Hicks of Midlothian VA; 7 great grandchildren, SJ Surface, Luke Surface, Paxton Brown, Miles Brown, Callum Cundiff, Peyton Griffith, Parker Griffith.   Peggy taught for the Marshall County school system for 30 years.  She was a dedicated member of the First Christian Church in Cameron WV. She was also a member of Eastern Star and a volunteer for the American Heart Association. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 6th, 2024 Time:  3:00 p.m. Place:  1st Baptist Family Life Center – 426 Barkwill Street, St. Mary’s WV 26170 In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
