Rex Allen Blake, 68 of Moundsville, W.V. passed away Monday March 24, 2025 at home. He was born November 29, 1956 in Glen Dale, W.V. son of the late Wilfred and Opal Baker Blake. Rex enjoyed Ridge Running, hanging out at Fish Creek, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, his pets, and many friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, working on cars, going to flea markets, collecting antiques, and many other hobbies.Â
Rex was a kindhearted person and always a jokester. He retired from the Painters Local Union#105, but also worked many other jobs throughout the years.   Rex loved to listen to and sing the older country music. He was a huge fan of George Jones, Conway Twitty, and many others from that era. Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Joyce Holcomb, his three beloved dogs Shasta, Tootsie, and Zoey.
Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Debra Carney Blake, children, Doris Parker McCardle (Rodney) Cameron, Ohio; Samantha Parker VanMeter, Moundsville, W.V. Linda Blake Columbus, Ohio; Rebecca Blake, Cameron, W.V., Amanda Blake, Wheeling, W.V. Rex Blake, Cameron, W.V. Sibling, Bob (Iris) Baker of Moundsville, W.V. Linda Wilson, Columbus, Ohio; Becky Simoncic of Wheeling, W.V. Jackie Pierce, of N.C. grandchildren, Christopher VanMeter, Justin VanMeter, Alexander Gonzalez, Carson Anderson, Waylon Gibson, Hylee Gibson, Carley Bogard, Dani Robertson, Maur'Leon Walker, Emma Blake, one great-grandson, Elliot Anderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beloved pets, Tigger, Furious, Mimi, Sweat Pea, Fer and Thor.Â
 Memorial Contributions may be made to Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 1109 2nd ST. Moundsville, W.V. 26041 A memorial service will be held April 4th, 2025 from 6-8 p,m, at the Moundsville VFW. Family and friends are welcome to attend.Â
