Robert Ostrander Sr.

Robert Lee Ostrander Sr. 85, of Moundsville, W.V. passed away May 1, 2024. He was born December 27, 1938, in Wheeling, W.V. son of the late Jess and Elsie Frazier Ostrander.  Robert was a protestant by faith. Retired from North American Coal #5 Captina Mine, Powhatan, Belmont County. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul Ostrander Sr. and Harold Ostrander. Survived by his longtime companion and best friend, Carol Richmond, one son, Robert Ostrander both of Moundsville, W.V. three sisters,  Carolyn Piatt of Lorraine, Ohio; Latricia Trigg of Bellaire, Ohio and Sharon Heath of Moundsville, W.V. two brothers, Jess Ostrander of Moundsville, W.V. John (Barbara) Ostrander of Neffs, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Kern, Joseph Ostrander, Robert C. (Amie) Ostrander and Nicholas Ostrander; great-grandchildren, Shyanne Ostrander, Kaitlyn Kern, Samantha Kern, Madelyn Kern, Kady (Travis) Mclendon, Kyle Trank, Kelsey Trank, Brianna Ostrander, Braxton Ostrander, six great-great-grandchildren, Daisy, Brooklyn, Abby, Margaret, Violet, Ella Mae, and his fur baby and best friend, "Sassy" and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  A private family visitation will be held at the convenience of the family.
